At Höganäs Borgestad , we started producing refractory bricks in 1825, almost at the beginning of the Industrial Revolution.

Borgestad Group acquires Höganäs Bjuf in Sweden and GZMO, which has 3 plants in Poland.
1932
New factory completed at Höganäs Bjuf, with the first tunnel kiln in operation.
1890
First production of chamotte brick at Borgestad. Borgestad Fabrikker issues its first product catalogue.
1886
Gunnar Knudsen founds Borgestad Fabrikker in Skien, Norway, initially to manufacture brick for the domestic market and saggars for porcelain mnufacture. Subsequently, business focuses more and more on serving Norway’s industry with high-quality refractories.
