Refractory Project at Equinor Mongstad Refinery

Wednesday December 18, 2019

This autumn, Höganäs Borgestad has performed refractory work at Equinor Mongstad Refinery in Norway for the Turnaround 2019 in a period of 5 weeks. Most of the refractory work was done inside the refinery, which involved the entering of confined spaces. Our services included refractory inspection, wrecking out of old refractory, anchor welding, formwork, refractory gunning, bricklaying, compressing and fiber installations.

Höganäs Borgestad is proud to have managed the greatest refractory workload in decades at Equinor Mongstad Refinery, perfectly balancing workload and safe work behavior. Thanks to our trained and skilled work force, the detailed planning from our HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) and Technical department, the facility know-how and our close cooperation on site with contractors and our customers, the refractory project was completed successfully!
