News release from 4 of February 2025<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Administrative Court in Malm\u00f6 has today ruled against Bjuv municipality regarding its proposed sale-leaseback agreement of two properties. If the ruling will be effective it will terminate the current agreement for a potential new refractory plant, and H\u00f6gan\u00e4s Borgestad will halt the development program pending Bjuv municipality\u2019s further processes. Bjuv Municipality has communicated that they will appeal the decision, and until that potential decision is final the agreement is still pending.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The ruling follows the announcement 27 October 2023, where the company outlined the decision to build an advanced refractory plant that allows for more sustainable production, while freeing up space for the municipality of Bjuv to develop its city center. Bjuv municipality’s binding approval was subject to the resolvent of a complaint to be handled by the Administrative Court in Malm\u00f6.
