The Right Refractory Material Selection<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Although the choice of refractory materials is highly dependent on fuels, raw materials and operating conditions, consideration should be given to refractory materials that provide the highest thermal conductivity resistance and have the longest life. H\u00f6gan\u00e4s Borgestad has developed pumpable and shot-cretable castables for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A shotcrete, or a wet mix, refractory is applied through an air pressure system after it has already been mixed with water. Using a paddle mixer, the shotcrete refractory is mixed with water until the desired consistency is present. The wet mix is then pumped through a double piston pump to the nozzle of the application gun. There, it is injected with compressed air and applied to the desired location e.g. the inside of a boiler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    H\u00d6GAN\u00c4S PUMP LC S85<\/em><\/strong> is a pumpable and shot-cretable low cement castable based on Silicon Carbide (SiC), with excellent physical and mechanical properties. This product has been specially designed for applications requiring very high thermal conductivity and alkali & abrasion resistance, such as power generation industries, waste incinerators and cement. It is recommended for use in combustion areas, cyclone burner, and any other application where these properties are necessary. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    H\u00d6GAN\u00c4S PUMP LC S70<\/em><\/strong> is a pumpable low cement castable based on Silicon Carbide (SiC), with excellent physical and mechanical properties coupled with superior thermal conductivity. This product has been specially designed for applications demanding high thermal conductivity, abrasion, alkali and thermal shock resistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
